Higher Diploma in Engineering

The Higher Diploma in Engineering is suitable for learners of all abilities who are ready for Level 2, including those at Key Stage 4 and any post-16 learners who wish to develop their range of Level 2 qualifications. There are no prerequisites for entry, and learners may have progressed direct from Key Stage 3, have completed a Foundation Diploma in any line of learning, or be embarking on a qualification post-16.

Learners embarking on the Higher Diploma may later aspire to do an Advanced Diploma, complete further education, progress to higher education and/or go directly into employment if post-16.

The Higher Diploma in Engineering is designed to provide learners with:
